1966  Epiphone Triumph Custom   SOLD!

Rare, gorgeous, all-original. w/ohsc ex+

An extremely rare, fabulous sounding and unusual custom-built Epiphone from the mid-1960's. One of about a dozen originally ordered by the now long-gone E.U. Wurlitzer store in Boston, it has a solid carved Sitka spruce top with an oval soundhole; 17-5/16" wide original early-style Epiphone body shape; chrome plated Johnny Smith pickup and Frequensator tailpiece; custom pickguard with standard-size Gibson shielded control pots; Brazilian rosewood fingerboard and compensated bridge. Condition is excellent, with only a little checking and a few nicks here and there and totally unworn frets. No cracks or repairs anywhere, lovely setup by us. Wonderfully full acoustic tone, and when you plug it in, large, warm, and clear; absolutely incomparable. This is the only the second or third one of these we've heard of showing up in the past forty years, and the only one we know of in natural finish. Comes in its original Epiphone grey hard shell case with blue plush lining.
